Meet Patrik: Leading Revenue Growth at Bright
We recently sat down with Patrik Larm, our Chief Revenue Officer, to gain insights into his typical week and gather his perspectives on the ever-evolving energy industry. If you're curious about what it's like to work with Revenue at Bright and why Patrik considers it a great place to work, then read on.
Tell us about yourself and what you do at Bright!
My name is Patrik and I’m the Chief Revenue Officer with Bright. My primary area of responsibility is overseeing and optimizing all revenue-generating activities within our organization. I focus heavily on driving business growth and optimizing our sales- and marketing processes. One of the best aspects of my job is the fact that I get to meet our clients frequently - present as well as future.
What does a typical work week look like for you?
During a week I get to do what I love the most and that is meeting our clients. A majority of my week is spent interacting with our clients and partners in various sales and marketing activities - from hands-on ongoing projects to future product development and strategic direction.
I also spend quite a bit of time on understanding future trends and needs - internally as well as externally making sure we understand the needs of our clients, their consumers as well as our partners - today and tomorrow.
What changes or trends in the energy industry are you most excited about?
The fact that the entire industry is undergoing an accelerated transformation is very exciting in itself as I thrive in change-oriented environments. Also, the fact that there is now a deeper understanding of the needs of engaged consumers and how important digital solutions are in a more traditional industry is sometimes challenging, but I see it as a great opportunity.
We need to rethink the way we are consuming energy and what the future ecosystem will look like, and I’m thrilled that Bright has a most important role to play in that change.
What is the most rewarding part of your job?
There are a lot of aspects that are very rewarding, but if I would highlight a few it would probably be to see the transformation organizations are undergoing working with our solution. To see the development from a first meeting covering customer pain points to maybe a year later looking at next steps and key initiatives as well as witnessing how business-critical the solution has become is amazing.
Another aspect is how fast our industry is changing and to see how our teams are constantly developing and growing reaching new levels is very satisfying and rewarding!
Why would you recommend Bright as a great place to work?
If you thrive in a change-oriented environment in the middle of one of the greatest transformations of the industry and have a higher purpose than just having a job - Bright is your obvious choice! We’re on a mission to help our clients make every energy consumer efficient and sustainable, and the journey has just begun!
What do you look forward to in the upcoming months?
Winter is coming! And during this period of the year, we see an increased interest in our platform given volatile prices and engaged consumers looking for ways to optimize consumption and at the end of the day save money as well as our planet. During this period a majority of our clients also conduct NPS surveys and to see the result of those is truly satisfying and very much a reward for all the efforts and hard work from our teams.
And there you have it—a behind-the-scenes look at Revenue at Bright and a glimpse into what Patrik's days look like. Thank you for taking the time to share, Patrik!
